Why did you have the pipes welded, you can make them all in a single bend. The couplers provide a large margin of fitment - check it out.. THis was after about 2 hours of cutting them to length and prefitting them and about an hour polishing them on the wheel.. Not bad for $85 for the pipes and another $40 for the couplers and hose clamps. You can even get a whole set of t-bolt clamps from Napa for like $2.75 each or something very reasonable (vs. the $8-10 I've seen them go for on other "performance car parts suppliers". You know me, I'm the judgemental jackass of the forum who compares the aftermarket parts to my own homebrew products made at a fraction of the cost. Speaking of pipes, I have a set of stock downpipes and drawings of different designs that I will be sending off to have built by autojet.com. THen midpipes and then an x-pipe section and finally ending with a rear tailpipe section (just the pipes from the back of the x-pipe module (these are the pipes that attach at the halfshaft's and go to the muffers. They will be bent in such a way for the stainless steel naxos mufflers to be welded and mounted to. Should be ablt to get a full mandrel bent 2.5" exhaust from the back of the turbo, modular condig like the stock setup so you can buy it as it comes along, all with an x-pipe for somewhere around $400 for the whole plumbing. Stainless Steel Naxos muffs can be purchased for $115 each. Ive been using them on my Z now for 3 years and I have to say that for a $115 muffler, they are a hell of a deal. Nice smooth sound, no raspy note, just a low rumble that sounds absolutely ripping at the rev limiter. :) I'm done wth the stock exhaust and I'm now shooting for the 11's with a full bodied Z with all of my computer stuff in there.. I'm runngin 12.73's at 112MPH on an NA exhaust that's gutted out and a 2.5" crush bend exhaust from the main cat housings to the mufflers themselves. I'm pretty sure that all the mandrel bent piping will definately be good for some HP. You know what they say, suck, squish, bang, blow. You make any one of those 4 parts more efficient and you are making more power. :-)
